Friends of Mia will be presenting one of our favorite bands for a benefit show right here in Olympia. After performing over 50 shows coast to coast, Built to Spill has agreed to do a benefit show as their final performance of their fall tour. Opening for Built to Spill will be local K records founder, Calvin Johnson’s new band – The Hive Dwellers, and Scarf. The benefit show will help raise money for local families dealing with childhood cancer.
Northwest Indie band, Built to Spill has been tantalizing fans for nearly 20 years and continues to draw new fans. Doug Martsch’s witty lyrics and creative guitar style, combined with the solid backing of veteran band members creates a cohesive homogenized sound that could potentially melt your mind.
Tickets are $20.00 and available in Olympia at Rainy Day Records and Northwest Snowboards, and are available online at Brown Paper Tickets
Doors open at 6:30/Show at 7:30pm
Beer Garden upstairs 21 and over with I.D.
Be sure to get your tickets in the near future, this one will sell out my friends. It’s been a decade since the last time Built to Spill played Oly. It’ll be a show to remember…
Thanks for your support!
