Friends of Mia was created by several lifelong friends of the family, who have explored and initiated fundraising efforts for Mia to assist in expenses related to her Leukemia treatment and recovery. After Mia passed away in 2012, the family partnered with other local childhood cancer supporters to fund local research and support local families.
